Jennifer Aniston Appears On “Oprah’s Big Give” Finale

Jennifer Aniston made an appearance on TV last night as the ‘surprise guest’ on the finale of the first season of Oprah Winfrey’s new reality show competition, “Oprah’s Big Give”. The buzz has been high concerning our favourite “Friends” actress’ return to the small screen ever since the cat was let out of the bag earlier this week by Nate Berkus, who hosted the show last night.

Berkus had told the press: “I have known Jen for years and she is an awesome woman. Jen’s wonderful and generous. She is a huge part of Sunday night’s show. People will be surprised to see how big a part she plays in the actual ‘Big Give.’”

The three finalist on the show were Brandi Milloy, Stephen Paletta, and Cameron Johnson. They are supposed to change the lives of others by giving, and at the end of each episode they were judged by their creativity, accomplishments, and leadership.

There was speculation that it would be Jennifer who would be presenting the grand prize winner with the $1 million prize (which they did not know was part of the show’s mechanics), but instead Jennifer presented all the participants in the show with $10,000, which she tripled to $30,000 each. “That just felt too good,” she told them. “I personally would like to triple it. So we’re going to go $30,000. Guys, thank you for doing this and inspiring everybody.”

Jennifer was just one of many showbiz folk who lent their time and celebrity to the show since the first broadcast. John Travolta and Jada Pinkett-Smith have shown up on the show, as well as sports celebrities Andre Agassi, and Tony Hawk.

The grand prize winner last night was Stephen Paletta, who received $500,000 for himself and $500,000 to give to others.
